01 / FINDING

What the study reports

The design combines polarization multiplexing with axial focusing at two prescribed planes. Rotating the nanocolumns changes input–output polarization combinations. The abstract reports twelve switchable polarization–spatial display channels across the two focal planes. [1]

02 / BOUNDARY

What this does not establish

This is a numerical investigation, not a demonstrated fabricated display. The subscription main text was not reviewed. Channel count alone does not establish independent-channel efficiency, low crosstalk, switching speed or cryptographic security.

03 / INTERPRETATION

Our engineering reading

In our interpretation, using polarization and depth together is a compact channel-addressing strategy. Practical value requires fabrication tolerance, calibrated channel separation and an experimentally supported switching method.

Editorial interpretation; not an additional measured result.
