What the study reports
The study compares sheet and skeletal versions of fourteen TPMS topologies using sixteen geometric measures. A common four-feature description predicts elastic moduli, yield limits and thermal conductivity with reported R² above 0.93. Dimensionality analyses identify an approximately two-dimensional organization of the investigated geometry and performance spaces. [1]
What this does not establish
This is a peer-reviewed accepted early article, subject to editing. Full methods and validation splits were not assessed. The abstract does not demonstrate generalization to arbitrary lattices, manufacturing defects or vibration spectra.
Our engineering reading
Our interpretation is that compact descriptors could support efficient design screening within a validated geometry family; dynamic predictions need separate evidence.
Editorial interpretation; not an additional measured result.Explainable machine learning reveals a compact, low-dimensional geometric basis underlying sheet and skeletal TPMS architected materials
